It has been more than 70 years since the Torres family came to the Monteverde area from the province of Alajuela where the family was mainly engaged in agriculture and livestock to date, today the tradition continues to milk cows and collect coffee.
In 2018 Tityra Lodge was born, a small family hotel located in the community of Cañitas, where travelers can enjoy the richness that surrounds our lodge by walking the trails that will take them through the forest and the coffee plantation.
The family from its beginnings decided to bet on environmental sustainability to offer visitors a unique and authentic experience that seeks to create a deep connection with nature, as well as to make them feel at home.
